Thin White Rope - Exploring The Axis
(31015)

Thin White Rope's debut casts light on the band that's swiftly becoming a legend. Some country-influenced rock and some long, intricate, and devastating songs like the title track. Unclassifiable. CD contains bonus material.

Available on LP for $13 or CD for $14.

Thin White Rope - Moonhead
(31020)

Moonhead is often cited as the definitive TWR album. More insanely wiggly guitars and troubled lives. "Crawl, piss, freeze" never seemed more appropriate than it does today.

Available on LP for $13 or CD for $14.

Thin White Rope

Thin White Rope - In The Spanish Cave
(31027)

TWR's third effort. Somewhere further along with a few horns, a girl and a synth (uh oh...). Songs that will define their trademark sound, such as "Red Sun" and "It's OK," never fail to astound.

Available on LP for $13 or CD for $14.

Thin White Rope

Thin White Rope - Ruby Sea
(31042)

Producer Bill Noland creates a musical foundry in which Thin White Rope fuse their early C&W and psyche influences with heavier guitar groundwork, producing visceral blasts that are at once ominous, surreal, and profound. Their fifth and final studio album was likened to "a six-string musical jihad" by Melody Maker.

Available on LP for $13 or CD for $14.

Thin White Rope - Sack Full Of Silver
(31048)

Thin White Rope's ill-fated and much-loved fourth album returns to Frontier after a short stint on RCA. Written on the road by Guy Kyser, Sack Full Of Silver may seem like a howl from the brink of suicide on first listen, but the elegiac "On the Floe" and heartbreaking "The Napkin Song" ("there comes a time when everyone's plans/fall like a dog from a truckbed grandstand...") are nothing if not life-affirming.

Available on LP for $13 or CD for $14.

Thin White Rope

Thin White Rope - The One That Got Away
(31052)

A document of the final heartbreaker--the realization that Thin White Rope were really calling it a day. Frontier taped many of the final performances but only released the very last show in Ghent, Belgium. It's a monster of a testament to the great live band that TWR were, offering up a greatest hits-like selection from their five studios albums, two EPs plus many, many surprises. Listen without crying, it's not easy.

Available on double CD for $16. LP no longer available.

Thin White Rope - Spoor
(31064)

Spoor pulls together Thin White Rope's rare and obscure b-sides, demos, cover tunes from various tribute records including "Burn the Flame" by Roky Erickson, plus the best version ever of "Some Velvet Morning" other than Lee Hazelwood and Nancy Sinatra's. Bonus: genius Joe Sacco album cover!

Available on LP for $13 or CD for $14.

Thin White Rope - Squatter's Rights
(31035)

We're down to our last box of these, so when they're gone, they're gone.

Available on CD for $10. No vinyl.

Thin White Rope - The Axis Calls DVD-R
(31056)

Shot by Thin White Rope's drummer Matt Abourezk, this is the final testament to one of the great American guitar bands.  Culled from the band's final two-week European tour, these performances are both awe-inspiring and depressing when you realize you'll see the band no more.

Available on NTSC DVD-R in case for $12. Please note that this is not a commercially manufactured DVD. It's a DVD-R that we made from the original VHS. It looks good, but it's not 100% pure DVD quality.
